It's been much too long. Unfortunately, I must be brief. Due to an overwhelming demand, I have created STF Edit 2.0.6b, which can be used to create STF UMS maps compatible with v.2.0.6b of STF. You can download it here.

More work has been done on the upcoming STF Beta. Three annoying bugs that crash the game still persist. I believe I shall release this without a working APC, unless something can be resolved before everything else is tied up. Each time I work on this, it begins to feel more and more complete, and after working on this project for over a year and a half now, that's a pretty damn good feeling to have. The most recent bug to pop out its ugly little head is that the Engineer crashes the game when he moves. Odd, considering I have done nothing to the Engineer since before the bug popped up. Most likely Arsenal f-ing a dat file up. I really wish that program was as stable as all the other CamSys tools. What's left to do, at least what I can recall right at this moment, are getting the HW Guy in, fixing the Processing Plant, finishing the Mortar Team's attack, redoing cmdicons.grp, getting the new HUD in and working properly, finishing the Red Team, and anything else I find along the way. The current version number is 2.2.6, and its size is 12.5MB. Two new unannounced things have been added. First, the Demoman now has a kick-ass Detpack ability. And second, there is a new secret unit. I'm not going to say much of anything about it, you'll just have to find it when the Beta is released. =o) If you'd like to make any comments about this, feel free to post them here.

Still toiling away on STF, and more bugs have taken refuge in the thing. An example of one vexing bug: HW Guy freezes the game when you try to make one. I'll have to revert back a version or two in order to isolate the problem. As for college life, things are going well enough. Homework is a little more managable, and I've sent out a thousand and one job applications. Let's hope something comes up before I have to start eating out of the dumpster. =o)

Alrighty, the mobile bunker idea for the APC may not be possible, so I've been playing around with the idea of a land transport with a turret. It'll be like the orignal APC idea in every way except units can't fire out. Instead, the APC will have its own weapon. Once this is done, and the HW Guy graphic is fixed, and a few other tweaks are made, I believe STF will be ready for another release. Stay tuned!

Whoopsy, accidentally mistyped the link to Justin's piece. That's been fixed. As for STF, the HW Guy is now working properly. At least, he isn't crashing. However, there are still a number of other problems still plauging him, which I have yet to figure out the cause. I'm fairly confident I'll be able to fix these problems, though. All I need is the time.

Haven't had time to work on STF these past few days due to the sheer amount of art homework we get. One assignment takes upwards of 4-8 hours to complete, and we get an assignment in each class. So yeah, not much STF time can be afforded after that heavy toll. Whelp, I wish you all a grand Thanksgiving. I'm off to go eat myself a bird.
